Jameer Nelson will miss the Orlando Magic's game on Friday against the San Antonio Spurs, coach Jacque Vaughn said in his pregame meeting with the media. Nelson sprained his left foot in the second quarter of Wednesday's victory against the Philadelphia 76ers and did not return to that game.
Victor Oladipo will shift from starting shooting guard to point guard against San Antonio. E'Twaun Moore will move into the starting lineup at shooting guard, Vaughn said.
Nelson had started all 15 of Orlando's games at point guard, averaging 11.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game on 37.3 percent shooting.
Nelson was scheduled to join some Magic teammates and team officials Thursday as they served a Thanksgiving breakfast at the Coalition for the Homeless, but the injury ruled him out of making that appearance.
Tipoff between the Magic and the Spurs is scheduled for 7 PM.
