The Orlando Magic formally announced Friday they've recalled Devyn Marble from the Erie BayHawks after a two-game stint with their NBA D-League affiliate. According to Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel, Marble re-joined the Magic for Thursday's practice.
Marble appeared in two games with Erie, averaging 20 points, 4.5 rebounds, four assists, and 1.5 steals. He missed one game on the BayHawks' three-game homestand due to illness.
Orlando acquired Marble's rights from the Denver Nuggets the night of the 2014 NBA Draft. The former rookie swingman posted per-game averages of 12.5 points, 3.4 boards, and 2.9 assists in his four years as an Iowa Hawkeye. He has logged only five minutes with Orlando in the 2014/15 season.
Marble becomes the first player Orlando has sent to Erie for seasoning since entering a hybrid affiliation agreement with it.
