Orlando Magic center Nikola Vučević sprained his left ankle against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday and will not return, the team announced.
Vučević previously injured the same ankle in a game against the Washington Wizards on December 2nd when he stepped on a photographer stationed on the baseline, which injury caused him to miss four games. He returned to action nine days later.
Vučević left Tuesday's game at the 3:37 mark of the first quarter. He appeared to land awkwardly after contesting a shot by Warriors center Andrew Bogut. Orlando immediately used a 20-second timeout to pull Vučević from the game.
Before Tuesday's action, Vučević had averaged 13.8 points, 11.5 rebounds, two assists, and 2.4 combined steals and blocks per game for the Magic.
