With the 56th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, the Denver Nuggets selected Roy Devyn Marble.
As part of the rumored Arron Afflalo trade, however, Marble will soon make his way to the Orlando Magic. Thursday morning the Magic agreed to send Afflalo to the Nuggets in exchange for Evan Fournier and the 56th selection. The trade is not yet official.
Marble, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard, averaged 17 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in his senior season at Iowa. He shot 42 percent from the floor and 34.9 percent from three-point distance, with three-pointers representing more than one-third of his shot attempts.
The Magic's earlier selections were Arizona gadget forward Aaron Gordon and, via trade, Louisiana-Lafayette point guard Elfrid Payton.
