Orlando Magic forwards DeQuan Jones and Josh McRoberts each had an emphatic dunk in Orlando's 108-105 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, which plays made the NBA's official highlight reel of all of that night's action. Given that the schedule featured 11 games, that's no mean feat.
Jones' slam, which came at the 4:29 mark of the second period, checks in at no. 9 on the NBA's list. The undrafted rookie scooped up a loose ball beyond midcourt and drove all the way to the rim for a one-handed tomahawk, giving Orlando a 41-40 lead.
McRoberts' entry came earlier in the game, but finished the night at no. 3 in the NBA's countdown. The veteran forward cut from the left corner to the rim, where rookie center Kyle O`Quinn hit him for a two-handed reverse dunk. McRoberts had to use the rim to shield himself from Denver center JaVale McGee.
It's hard to argue with the selection of either dunk for nightly honors, but I would have swapped Jones' throwdown with McRoberts', given how much more powerful it was.
