Photos: Magic take Boys & Girls Clubs members on holiday shopping spree

With an assist from PepsiCo, kids from the Central Florida Boys & Girls Clubs joined some Magic players and staff for a shopping spree Thursday.

The Orlando Magic teamed with PepsiCo on Thursday to provide 100 children from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida with $100 gift cards to Walmart, courtesy of the soft-drink giant and the charitable foundation of Magic big man Glen Davis. Davis joined Andrew Nicholson at an Orlando Walmart location to help the kids shop for gifts. Photos of the event are embedded in this post.

"You really don't know the effect you have on kids until you see them in person," Davis said Thursday, according to Josh Cohen of OrlandoMagic.com. "We're here to spread love and Christmas spirit."

The Magic continued spreading holiday cheer Friday as a contingent of players was set to visit the Walt Disney Pavilion at the Florida Hospital for Children. The players were scheduled to give gifts and sign autographs for the patients, with Magic center Nik Vučević capping the event by presenting the hospital a $10,000 check.
