"I'm really torn about the NBA finals," [Tiger] Woods wrote. "I grew up a die-hard Los Angeles Lakers fan, but have season tickets to Orlando Magic games. Hopefully, it will be a great series."

Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel Here's a fun question for everyone, which team do you think Eldrick will root for?

Magic center Dwight Howard: If fans want me, I'll stay in Orlando

29

Dwight Howard talks with the Orlando Sentinel and says that he's willing to stay with the franchise the rest of his career, as long as the fans want him around. "I tell my friends this: I want to stay here. It will be based upon the city. We want the support of our fans. That's what carries us, that's what inspires us, that's what keeps us motivated. "You want to feel loved. That's the biggest thing. I show my love to the community. I show my love to this city by stepping on the floor every night and playing as hard as I can. That's all we want back." Want to see Superman continue to put on for the city? Keep giving him and the team support.

Jameer Nelson is back on the basketball court. But don’t get too excited about the possibility of seeing him in uniform in the NBA Finals against the L.A. Lakers. Nelson started practicing with the team last week and will participate in team workouts Tuesday and Wednesday before a final decision is made about whether he will be activated for the Finals. [...] "I’m ahead of schedule, but that doesn’t mean that I want to play," Nelson said Monday. "I’ll have to see how I feel tomorrow. I have to wake up every day and see how I feel. "Every day I do my rehab and every day I feel a little better about myself and my strength and everything. But like I said, a miracle has to happen." Coach Stan Van Gundy said he wasn’t changing his game plans for the long shot possibility. "Jameer will practice as much as he can…We’ll see where we go from there," he said. "We’ve got a situation where a guy hasn’t done anything in four months and then he’s gonna have two practices. So we’ll just have to see.

An individual (Craig Sender) sent me an e-mail roughly a week ago asking me to post a link to an interview Newsmax, an independent news magazine based out of West Palm Beach, conducted with Orlando Magic owner Rich DeVos. Check it out.
