Point guard help & High Risk (High Reward) move!

After watching the game (loss) from Orlando Magic against the New York Knicks today, as a Magic fan I got a "little" frustrated to say the least.

Of course, having three starters unavailable to play (Issac, Fournier, Fultz) is a good reason for the current breakdown, after such a promising start of the season.

Vucevic, Gordon and Ross surely deserve another supporting cast while waiting for Fournier and MCW's return.

Although his passing ability has been explored with good results in the last few games, the point-forward experiment with Aaron Gordon has some mixed results, especially at the end of games when sometimes his decision making is not the best.

I felt today that we really needed a real floor general to take smart decisions. Cole Anthony is still a rookie, and he should not be thrown to the fire and gave more responsibility than he could handle.

On the other hand, besides Birch, all the other roster players are not adding much to the team: Bacon, Ennis, and Clark.

I think Orlando should search for some Point Guard help during this current stretch of games in order to turn the "ship" in the right direction:

  • Frank Ntilikina and Dennis Smith Jr. (New York)
  • George Hill (Oklahoma)

What would take for us to get one of those players?

Additionally, I read a report that Cavs are about to trade/cut Kevin Porter Jr. due to current off court situations/issues. That's what I've called a High Risk, and potencial high reward move:

After watching some of his moves, creating ability, and shooting, I've tried to compare with what we have in Ennis or Bacon...

I really think that he's the kind of player we need (on court).

Are the personal issues too toxic to take into a good locker room? Can a coaching staff like Orlando Magic's would be able to manage and help to bring the best of him?

What do you think about these potencial moves?
