Statements of Opinion up front.
I'm prepared to wait and build around JI.
I like AG but think he needs to go while he has value.
I'm prepared to celebrate Vuc and keep him as long as he wants to stay.
Besides these things everything else is negotiable. Here is my Full Overhaul Offseason:
Move #1 with Timberwolves
AG as stated above needs to go to a good home and get the most value. So AG and our #15 pick (if they need a body we can include frazier jr. but the money is straight without it) for the #1 pick, Johnson, and Culver. I'm not sure this is enough but I really don't want to give up our pick in 2021. If we had to i might with a top 10 protection on it but i would keep our #15 pick this year.
Also I would bring Culver's younger brother JJ in and sign him for a reasonable deal. He had a 100 point game a while back while in college it just wasn't NCAA.
With the #1 pick i'd try to pry away Beal from the wizards. Fournier (future cap flexibility or trade asset mid year) and Bamba. But I don't know if that's enough for Beal. If it was Minnesota would make that deal. Soo..
Move #2 with Kings
Trade Bamaba for Bjelica and their first round pick slotted at 12. I know what your thinking the kings front office has changed they might not do this deal but I think they would. You might think this leaves us with too many PF but JI is out all year and we traded AG, we aren't 100% on when Aminu will be 100% so this works for a year until his money comes off the books.
Move #3 with Washington
Pick #1 and Pick #12 Fournier, and Aminu for Beal I do think Washington does this deal.
These moves would make us super competitive so we stay in the playoffs while also giving us time to get everyone healthy with the vets till they age out and get playing times for the young guys. I'd also bring back DJ or MCW I would prefer DJ for the shooting and handling in the second line up.
Starting Line Up
Fultz, Culver, Beal, Bjelica, Vuc
DJ, Ross, Chuma, Killian Tillie, Birch
The following year JI will be back in the starting line up and we will be ready to Rock and ROLL!
