Seems like just yesterday we were gathering tweets for “Twitter reacts to the Magic’s Game 1 win over the Raptors.”
And here we are again.
That game was trending thanks to D.J. Augustin’s heroics. The Magic’s Game 1 win over the Bucks on Tuesday was trending because it was an eight seed dominating a one seed from damn near the opening tip to the final buzzer.
Such a perfectly executed - and completely unexpected - victory gets people talking on Twitter.
And as always, the tweets speak for themselves...

Since seeding began in 1984, #1 seeds have lost their opening game of the playoffs by double digits 3 times (1999 Heat, 1998 Jazz, 2007 Mavs).

Orlando-Toronto Game 1 last year was a shooting-related fluke. This was different. The Bucks just got their butts kicked.

Last year the Magic beat the Raptors on a crazy shot. This year they absolutely dog walked the Bucks with like half of their roster missing. The Bucks should feel bad about this lmao. https://t.co/dqsF1vqJiU

The 8 seed Orlando just beat the best the best NBA team in the playoffs without: Jonathan Isaac, Aaron Gordon, Michael Carter-Williams, Al Farouq-Aminu, and Mo Bamba. That’s 5 rotational players. The Magic were 14.5 point underdogs, and +950 to win outright. Heart and Hustle baby pic.twitter.com/3PTTF0GaMi

Reminder:
— x-Orlando Magic Daily (@OMagicDaily) August 19, 2020
Even if the #Lakers win tonight, the #Magic will have more playoff wins than the Lakers since the Dwight Howard trade.
With all those injuries, the Magic put out lineups that had 4 or even 5 decent (or better) 3-point shooters for the first time, in, like, forever, and the Bucks defense appeared to have no clue what to do.
