Twitter reacts to Aaron Gordon losing the Dunk Contest

The tweets speak for themselves...

It was the Dunk Contest runner-up, not the winner, who was trending on Twitter.

Aaron Gordon did dunks no one had seen before, he got perfect scores on his first five dunks, he jumped over a 7-6 man, he got 297 of a possible 300 points, he turned the Dunk Contest into a classic for the second time, andddd he lost.

Gordon needed a 49 on his final dunk to win. He dunked over Tacko Fall for what seemed like a guaranteed 50. He got a 47. By losing to Derrick Jones Jr. by one point, it now feels as if Gordon has won two Dunk Contests without actually winning any.

The response on Twitter was overwhelming with everyone from fans, media, current teammates, former teammates, LeBron, opponents, mayors, Super Bowl winning quarterbacks and many others chiming in. Below are some of the best of the best.
