NBA playoff schedule 2019: Magic vs. Raptors dates and start times

The Magic and Raptors kick off their first round match-up on Saturday

NBA: Toronto Raptors at Orlando Magic Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Orlando Magic’s first playoff game in nearly seven years will be this Saturday.

The shorthanded Magic earned an impressive road victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday to lock up the seventh seed and set the stage for a first round match-up with the second-seeded Toronto Raptors.

The two teams will kick off their series Saturday at 5 p.m. in a game that will be televised on ESPN. After two days off, Game 2 will be on Tuesday at 8 p.m. on TNT. Following another two days off, playoff basketball will finally be played on Orlando soil when the Magic host the Raptors on Friday at 7 p.m. Here’s the full schedule...

Perhaps the most astonishing part of the schedule is that Orlando - long disrespected by the national television networks, even during their success in the late 2000s - do not yet have a game scheduled for NBATV (the poor Nuggets seem to be getting that treatment this year).

Regardless of what channel it is on, playoff basketball is back in Orlando.
