Quotes from Coach Clifford’s pregame conference:

Clifford when asked about his dinner recently w/ former Magic HC Stan Van Gundy ~ “I think actually he paid. Listen, if Stan says (I’m) paying, I worked for him for a long time...I’m letting him pay. If he says you’re paying, I pay.”

Clifford on Fournier’s play heading into the All-Star Break ~ “His assists were up. I think it was more high pick-and-rolls (he’s played very well in). He and Jonathan (Isaac) were the two guys from an offensive efficiency standpoint that really played at a higher-level.” -

Clifford on the recently acquire Porter, Jr. ~ “He had 37 last game, I think he’s averaging like 23 (points). The one thing I’ll say, he’s playing as a ball-handler in the pick-and-roll a bit more. Their (CHI) super skilled - their two, three, and four they’re going LaVine, Porter, Markkanen. That is, even for this league, exceptional skill. They have you spread out, he’s like 53% on three’s since he’s been there.”
