Game 20: Magic at Wizards GameThread

Good offense vs. Good defense. Bad defense vs. Bad offense

NBA: Washington Wizards at Orlando Magic Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

Who: Orlando Magic (8-11) vs. Washington Wizards (6-12)

When: Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Where: Capital One Arena - Washington, D.C.

TV: Fox Sports Florida

Line: Wizards -1.5, O/U 227

Injuries: Orlando - Nikola Vucevic (out), Al-Farouq Aminu (out); Washington - Mo Wagner (out), Thomas Bryant (out), C.J. Miles (out), Ian Mahinmi (out)

Storyline: Good offense vs. Good defense. Bad defense vs. bad offense. That’s what we’ll see when the Magic take on the Wizards tonight. Bradley Beal has led a surprisingly potent Wizards offense, which owns the league’s fourth best offensive rating at 112.1. At the defensive end, however, the Wizards are at the bottom of the league with a rating of 115.7, which is dead last and historically bad. Washington is coming off a four-game West Coast trip in which they went 1-3 and allowed 131 points per game. They’ll face a Magic team that has scored 100 or fewer points in four of their last six games and owns the league’s second worst rating at 102.5, which is just barely ahead of the lowly Knicks. The Magic, though, have a surging Evan Fournier, who has reached the 30-point plateau in two of his last three games, and a top-10 defense with a rating of 103.7 (9th).
