IT and B.I.G.??
Yes, the Magic may soon have a new point guard to play alongside their young frontcourt of Mo Bamba, Jonathan Isaac and Aaron Gordon.
According to Alex Kennedy of Hoops Hype, Orlando and free agent point guard Isaiah Thomas are in the midst of negotiations and both are motivated to reach an agreement.
Isaiah Thomas and the Orlando Magic are negotiating a possible deal, according to league sources. Nothing has been agreed to yet, but it seems both sides want to get this done.

Thomas and the Magic were viewed as a perfect match for one another, but speculation grew today when news broke that Thomas followed the Magic on Twitter.
Thomas is looking for opportunity, and that is something the Magic can provide while reaping the benefits of having an established scorer with plenty to prove as he hunts for a future long-term deal. Be sure to check out our story on the pros and cons of Thomas joining the Magic to get a better idea of why this could be a perfect match.
Any guesses on what a potential deal between the Magic and IT may look like? I’ll stick with the obvious and guess he gets the full non-taxpayer mid-level exception of $8.6 million for one year.
The offseason has gone well for the Magic with the drafting of Bamba and the re-signing of Gordon to a reasonable $84 million contract. Bringing in Thomas on a short-term deal would be another step in the right direction.
