Braian Angola will be an interesting prospect for Magic in summer league

The FSU swingman brings size and shooting

NCAA Basketball: ACC Conference Tournament-Florida State vs Louisville Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Braian Angola, 24, is an interesting prospect due to his size and shooting stroke. The Colombian native spent his senior year at FSU after having had previously transferred from North Idaho College.

In his senior season, he averaged 12 points, four rebounds and three assists on 38% shooting from behind the arc.

An athletic swingman, according to NBA Scouting Live, who can shoot and score the basketball, Angola will look to use his 6’6” frame to overpower smaller backcourt players, and drill open shots from the perimeter.

His weaknesses lie with his age, both physically and mentally. Angola will have a lot of catching up to do on both sides of the ball, as he can be prone to turnovers, streaky shooting, and lapses defensively.

However, when dialed in, Angola can be an excellent scoring threat and versatile defender who may give opponents their money’s worth come July 6th.
