We hoped it wouldn’t happen, yet we all kind of knew it would: the Magic got the sixth pick.
For a team that has now been dependent on lottery balls for six years, Orlando has found itself in the top-three just once and actually finished worse than expected four times.
Fans are understandably not happy about this, and they took to Twitter to voice their disappointment. Earlier this season we gathered Tweets for significant moments during Orlando’s season (Twitter reacts to Frank Vogel getting fired and Twitter reacts to Elfrid Payton’s return to Orlando), and we’ll do the same here.
Introducing the latest installment of our “Twitter reacts...” feature with some Tweets regarding the Magic’s lottery results that I found to be the best of the best. As always, feel free to add others worth seeing in the comments section below....
.@OrlandoMagic will pick at No. 6 for a second straight year. They fall for a fourth time in the past six years in the lottery.

Well the Magic have no coach, a pretty crappy lottery pick and no potential superstars on the roster but on the other hand, wait I forgot where I was going with that.

Who's gonna break it to Orlando that the Lil' Penny doll is wearing a Memphis jersey?

Dear Adam Silver, please get rid of the #DraftLottery signed beleaguered @OrlandoMagic fan. #StopTheBleeding

So basically if we wouldve lost the last game wed have the third pick, right?
— GG (@BigBoyBernie) May 16, 2018
As payback for getting the 1st overall pick in the NBA lottery three times ('92, '93, '04), the #OrlandoMagic will never get one of the top three picks ever again.

Those are clearly the new rules. Forever. pic.twitter.com/GQLSev8CMr
At this moment, with the Magic at #6, I’m taking Michael Porter Jr. But it’s going to take a lot of research, medical, and workout analysis. Despite the talent, I just feel like Trae Young wouldn’t fit here. Hell, trading back may be a solid option now in a deep draft.

Magic get the 6th pick.

I can get excited about Ayton, Doncic, Bamba, JJJ, Porter, or Bagley.
It does feel like we’re destined for Trae Young though.
You should do it @OrlandoMagic pic.twitter.com/oEbTmFcl39
