Jonathan Isaac will not play on Thursday

The Magic rookie will miss the game against the 76ers with a foot strain

So, about those plans of having Jonathan Isaac and Aaron Gordon on the court together.....

That won’t be happening on Thursday. The Magic announced that Isaac will miss Tuesday’s game against the 76ers with a left foot strain.

Isaac - who had 10 points, five rebounds, five steals and two blocks in 28 minutes against the Raptors on Tuesday - has played in just 25 games during his rookie season because of a right ankle injury.

John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com reported that Isaac and Frank Vogel do not feel that the injury is significant.

“It wasn’t one play; it was just over time working it too much,’’ Isaac said of the pain in his foot. “It’s tough, but it’s just another thing that we’ve got to deal with. I’ll take it day by day and get ready to get back on the court. It’s not really severe at all, to be honest; it’s just a muscle strain and with time and cooling it down, I’ll be back in no time.’’
