Gordon will making his third staight apperance in the contest, having finished as runner-up to Zach LaVine in an epic duel in 2016, and then getting eliminated in the first round last year. AG will compete against former Magic teammate Victor Oladipo, Mavericks rookie Dennis Smith Jr., and Lakers forward Larry Nance Jr.

Word was leaked about a week ago that Gordon had accepted an invitation, but he and the other particpants who had been named denied the report. At the time, I wrote a more detailed story about Gordon’s upcoming third appearance.
Last year, Gordon seemed somewhat bothered by a knee injury that nearly kept him out of the contest. Let’s hope that hip flexor strain that has caused him to miss the last two games is fully healed by All-Star Weekend.
