Assistant coach David Adelman is leaving the Orlando Magic to join the Denver Nuggets in a similar role, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Adelman spent one season on Frank Vogel’s coaching staff in Orlando. He previously worked under his father, Rick Adelman, with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Prior to that, he coached Lincoln High School in Portland, Oregon, leading it to three district championships, as well as one state championship finals appearance. He has also coached at his alma mater, Jesuit High School, also in Portland.

In Denver, Adelman will serve on Michael Malone’s staff. His departure leaves Vogel with Chad Forcier and Corliss Williamson as his assistants, along with Jay Hernandez as the head of player development.
