This is complete and total fiction but If I was the new management team I would pitch it. NY is so intent on trading Melo they have cratered his value. Phil is now intent on pissing off Porzingis who looks to be a future star in the making. Now they hav fired oach Josh Longstaff who is the assistant coach that Porzingis is closest to and sound like most of the young guys are.

Step 1: Hire Longstaff to be part of our staff.

Step 2: Reach out to Chris Paul ask if he we get Melo will he come here to play with him.

Step 3: The trade....Our #6 pick Fournier, Vuc, Augustin, and Gordon. They give up Melo, Noah, OQuin, Porzingis.

After hearing and confirming that Paul was coming to Orlando with him plus his buddy Porzingis and our new staff he agrees to the trade. Porzingis is pissed though.

Step 4: Sign Paul...Max money if you can dump a salary or two, but likley under max so give paul a player option on 4th year. (if you could swing a trade like Mario and Noah's contract for our 2018 1st round pick and a 2nd round then do it but I doubt clippers would want what we have left for a trade.)

Reasons NY might entertain this idea. They dump Melo, They dump the injured and terrible Noah and his hideous contract, They get a young star in return who's so happy to be in the Big Apple oh yeah now they would have two top 10 picks in one of the highest touted drafts in recent memory.

With our 25th pick take gamble on Diallo then Ojeleye and then Swanigan
