The Orlando Magic and their fans will have to wait until after the NBA All-Star Break to see Terrence Ross in action with his new club.
Ross, whom Orlando acquired via Tuesday’s trade with the Toronto Raptors, will not suit up for Orlando on Wednesday when it hosts the San Antonio Spurs at Amway Center. That news comes straight from the Magic’s official Twitter account.
Ross, 26, figures to play a larger role with the Magic than he did with the Raptors, where he served as a key reserve behind DeMar DeRozan. In 54 appearances, all off the bench, Ross averaged 10.4 points and 2.6 rebounds on 44.1 percent shooting from the floor.
With Ross unavailable and Ibaka in Toronto, Orlando will start Jeff Green at power forward against San Antonio.
Orlando’s next game after the All-Star Break is Thursday, February 23rd, when it hosts the Portland Trail Blazers. Ross will assuredly be in uniform by then.
