Magic at Hornets GameThread

The Magic visit the Queen City on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Magic are back in Charlotte this early December, but under very different circumstances than the last time they were in town. Orlando, then winners of four of their first five games to begin the season, dropped a contest in Charlotte 120-113 on October 29th.

Since then, the Magic have dropped 12 of 18 games, including eight of their last ten. Orlando did pick-up a win against the New York Knicks last night, 105-100. The win snapped a seven-game road losing streak for the Magic. The Knicks were playing without their two leading scorers - Kristaps Porzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr. Nikola Vucevic feasted on the Knicks to the tune of 34 points (13-19 FG) and 12 rebounds.

The Magic will be looking to snap another losing streak tonight; the Hornets own an eight game winning-streak over the Magic. The Hornets have dropped four straight heading into this match-up of Atlantic Division foes.

Kemba Walker, noted Magic-killer (has scored more career points and dished out more career assists versus the Magic than any other team), torched Orlando earlier this season with 34 points. Walker has missed Charlotte's last two games due to a bruised shoulder, but he's expected to play tonight.

The Hornets haven't played since Friday night, when they dropped a contest in South Beach to the Miami Heat 105-100.

This will be the 13th time former Magic great Dwight Howard will be taking on his former team. Howard has averaged 19.5 points and 13.3 rebounds against the good guys in his post-Orlando career.
