Orlando gets another crack at Brooklyn in what's expected to be a high scoring affair

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The Orlando Magic are back in action Tuesday night as they take on the Brooklyn Nets for the second time in less than a week. The Nets outpaced the Magic in a shootout last Friday night in Brooklyn, taking that contest 126-121.

Tuesday's game pits two organizations that rank in the Top-6 in the NBA in both Offensive Rating and Pace (Nets - 3rd and 2nd, Magic 6th and 5th respectively).

The Magic are coming off one of their most impressive road victories in years last Saturday night as they defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers by a margin of over 20 points (the lead had ballooned to over 35 points at one point). Nikola Vucevic has been on a tear to begin '17-'18 (27.7 PPG, 10.7 REB). Vucevic connected on six three-point attempts en route to a 41-point effort the last time these two teams met.

Aaron Gordon, who missed Orlando's last two games, practiced Monday and is expected to play Tuesday night according to head coach Frank Vogel. The Magic will again be without the services of Elfrid Payton, who strained his hamstring last Friday night against the Nets.

The Nets roll into Orlando touting a balanced offensive attack which includes six different players averaging double-figures. This of course doesn't include guard Jeremy Lin, who went down with an injury on Opening Night and will not play again for the Nets the remainder of the season.
