After opening up the new calendar year with the loss on Sunday in Indiana, the Orlando Magic look for a quick turnaround in New York to face the Knicks.

As has been the case far too often for the Magic this season, the team came out with little energy against the Pacers, falling behind by double digits early, and never being able to fully rebound. The defense, which was supposed to be the Magic's calling card this season, continued it's prolonged slip, struggling on the ball, and rotating late when help was needed. If the Magic want to avoid a repeat of last years disastrous month of January, they'll need to fix the problems on the defensive side of the ball, and fast.
