The Magic open their NBA season on October 26, 2025 against the Miami Heat at the Amway Center. Out of 82 games, only 1 will be nationally televised, which is tied with Brooklyn for least nationally televised games in the entire league. Is the league sleeping on the Magic? It's nothing to be upset about; with more wins Magic will get more attention and coverage.
Dwight Howard is visiting with the Hawks on January 4, 2026 while Victor Oladipo and Oklahoma are visiting on March 29, 2017. We will most likely see a very different homecoming for these players; the Thunder game is especially going to be important to evaluate the Ibaka/Oladipo trade.
The defending champions are visiting on the March 11th, 2017 while the newly assembled super team (and I'm not talking about the Knicks) with Durant is coming on January 22, 2017. I predict the Warriors will not be as interested in breaking the regular season wins record this time around and may rest players more than they did last season.
As there are 82 games, it's hard to say any game is "key win". Every game should be approached as a must win; as we saw last year (dreadful January), bad stretches can kill any playoff hopes.
Hezonja played in all 4 games so far for Croatia in the Olympic tournament, averaging 8 points, 2 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 20 minutes per game. He is shooting 8/16 from 3pt land, which is good for 5th best percentage at the tournament.
His best game was against Argentina, in which he scored 16 pts with 3 rebounds (4/6 for three). Mario is playing somewhat passive, mostly waiting in the corner for a 3pt shot. This is to be expected as he is not the first of second option in the offense most of the time, behind Bogdanovic and Saric. Today is the final group game vs Lithuania, and Croatia can finish anywhere from 1st to 5th.
Only 72 days until the start of the season.
