The Orlando Magic announced Thursday the teams who will participate in the 2016 Orlando Pro Summer League at the Amway Center practice court, as well as the schedule for that event. It's set to tip off at 8 AM on Saturday, July 2nd.
Once again the Magic will field two teams, dubbed Orlando Blue and Orlando White. Joining Orlando in the league are the Charlotte Hornets, Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, and Oklahoma City Thunder.
For the fourth consecutive year, a tournament format will be used to determine the League's overall winner: teams earn four points for winning a game and one point for winning a quarter; in the event of a tied quarter, both teams receive 0.5 points, meaning each game is worth eight points in the standings.
The first standings tiebreaker is point differential. The second is total points allowed. In the event that neither of those two measures breaks a tie, the teams will rely on a coinflip.
Due to the limited space around the Magic's practice floor, the event is only open to team personnel and the media; it is not open to the public.
According to the Magic, broadcast information for the 2016 Orlando Pro Summer League will be available at a later date.
We'll have to wait until after the NBA Draft for teams to release their full rosters, but it's a safe bet that Mario Hezonja and Tyler Harvey will suit up for Orlando.
