NBA All-Star Saturday night kicks off at 8:00 PM Eastern. Share all of your thoughts about the nights events in this open thread.
Saturday night's festivities kick off with the Taco Bell Skills challenge, featuring a new twist. For the first time, four big men and four guards will participate in the competition with the winner from each group facing off for the overall winner. The Skills Challenge will feature C.J. McCollum, Isaiah Thomas, Emmanuel Mudiay, Jordan Clarkson, Draymond Green, Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins and Karl-Anthony Towns.
Following the newly formatted skills event, the leagues best three-point shooters will take center stage. Stephen Curry will look to defend his title over Klay Thompson, McCollum, Devin Booker, J.J. Redick, Kyle Lowry, James Harden and Khris Middleton.
Finishing up the night will be the Verizon Slam Dunk contest, headlined by reigning champion Zach LaVine. LaVine took home MVP honors in Friday nights Rising Stars Challenge, but will face some stiff competition in his slam dunk title defense. The Magic's own Aaron Gordon -- who claims to have never lost a dunk contest -- will look to steal the title away, along with Denver's Will Barton and Detroit's Andre Drummond.
This is the second year in a row a Magic man has competed in the dunk contest, with Victor Oladipo coming up short against LaVine in last years competition.
