I'm just relaying some trade ideas tossed out on a post on Bleacher Report.

First Trade Idea:

Trailblazers get: Nikola Vucevic, Jeff Green

Magic get: Allen Crabbe, Ed Davis, 2018 CLE 1st Rd Pick (Top-10 Protected)

This trade is actually listed as the "ideal" targetted trade for both Orlando (Crabbe for Offense) and for Portland (Vucevic for front court help).

My thoughts...I don't hate it, though I don't love it, either. Crabbe is overpaid, and I have serious concerns about whether he can produce offense when he doesn't have Lillard and/or McCollum taking attention away from him on the floor. That said, he is a wing scoring 13 points per36 on 57%TS. If Vogel can get his defense up a bit and he continues to improve (he's only 24), and his current contract takes him well into his 'prime years', then it might be a solid move.

Second Trade Idea:

Raptors get: Aaron Gordon

Magic get: DeMarre Carroll OR Terrance Ross, Patrick Patterson, (1 or 2) Future 1st Rd Pick(s)

Idea being that the Raptor's GM is generally savvy, and might prefer to take a shot at Gordon growing into something special to compliment Lowry/DeRozen, given that any fringe moves likely doesn't put them into legit contention with the Cavs. The Magic do this mostly as roster management, I guess, to get a "real" wing player rather than playing Gordon out of position, provide better spacing, and get a pick or two.

My thoughts....I really enjoy Gordon, even though he's not putting up great numbers and I wouldn't say I'm "sure" he's gonna be a great player someday. As much as I want him to stay on "my team", I don't hate the idea of him on the Raptors, playing his natural position. Ross would be a great fit on the wing, and he's on a great contract, though. Patterson is fine, and expiring so there's no long-term commitment there. Admittedly this deal probably makes the Magic better right now (Gordon at the SF spot is just tough to watch, since I do root for him and he's being set up to fail), while still nabbing them a 1st Rd pick or two, though likely later in the draft pool. That said, with Ibaka's deal expiring, and who knows what else is on the horizon, it's tough to give up one of your better assets to get Ross and 1 or 2 picks in (at best) the late 20's.

So, I'm not a huge fan of either, though they seem pretty fair in terms of the deals themselves.
