Magic to stream preseason game against Spurs on Facebook Live

The Magic will use Facebook’s newest feature to stream Wednesday night’s preseason matchup.

The Orlando Magic will be broadcasting their preseason game on October 12th against the San Antonio Spurs in a different way than usual.

For the first time ever, the Magic will use Facebook Live to stream the game, which is not scheduled to be televised anywhere else. Per NBA rules, the game will only be viewable by people within 75 miles of the Amway Center. The stream will start at 7:00 PM, and can be found on the Magic’s Facebook page.

The game will feature an in-arena video feed, with commentary and play-by-play from the Magic’s Radio Network crew of Dennis Neumann and Richie Adubato.

Using Facebook Live to stream the game is another way for the team to give fans more ways to view the team. Facebook Live is quickly growing in popularity, and should the team continue to use this — only two of their remaining five preseason games are scheduled to be televised — it could prove as another great avenue for content.
