Team USA Basketball has selected two Orlando Magic players to join its minicamp from August 11th-13th as it prepares for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Tobias Harris and Victor Oladipo, both aged 23, are among the 34 players slated to attend. Of that group, Team USA will select 12 men for the Olympics.
Harris and Oladipo figure to be longshots to earn an Olympic nod, but training alongside the likes of Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and Chris Paul--and under the direction of coach Mike Krzyzewski--ought to help their confidence and ability.
In addition, going camping with Team USA keeps Harris and Oladipo in the program's proverbial pipeline: in 2014, they played on the Select Team, which helped Team USA prepare for the 2014 FIBA World Cup.
