With the 51st pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the Orlando Magic selected Tyler Harvey.
Harvey, the NCAA's leading scorer last season, is a pure scoring combo guard, who can shoot the lights out. Averaging 23.1 points per game last season, Harvey knocked down nearly 47 percent of his field goal attempts during the season. He led Eastern Washington to the NCAA Tournament, before being bounced in the first round.
Harvey joins a somewhat crowded Magic backcourt. with Victor Oladipo, Elfrid Payton, Evan Fournier and first round pick Mario Hezonja. Harvey projects to likely be a combo guard off the bench. He brings the Magic a much needed scoring and shooting punch with their second unit as well.
Barring any late night trades, the Magic are finished for the 2015 NBA Draft. Grabbing Hezonja and Harvey shows the Magic's need for shooting, and how much important they view that with the current roster.
