With the 10th pick in the Orlando Pinstriped Post's 2015 NBA mock draft, the Miami Heat select Kansas SF Kelly Oubre. Bobinblue is serving as the Heat's general manager, and his reasoning for the selection is below.
With the 10th pick of the 2015 OPP Community mock draft, the Miami Heat select Kansas SG/SF Kelly Oubre. One of the biggest weakness for the Heat has been the lack of depth on the wing position, and two key players (Wade/Deng) may not be a part of the team next year. Although Deng may leave, he is likely to be back granting Oubre a chance to be a role player and develop for a season, which he greatly needs due to inconsistencies. With previous information being released that Miami staff met with Oubre at the NBA Combine in Chicago, this seems like a likely selection especially considering who was left on the board. If I were the Heat, I would be excited by this pick; however, I would seriously consider trading down a couple spots to get Oubre + assets.
