I feel like having someone like Porzingis on the team will provide us with space and shot blocking. I understand he is not a "rim protector", however having the ability to block shots will help. Whether he comes off the bench or starts, his shooting and scoring ability will be greatly valued and under Skiles will flourish on defense.
By picking him, it will allow for the Magic to start focusing on shoring up offensive veterans who can shoot the 3. I wouldn't mind seeing Harris come off the bench while playing starter minutes. I believe he dominates in the 6th man role and will be the scoring focus of our second unit with Fournier.
If we're able to pick up Jameer and have him come off the bench we can have O'Quinn or Dedmon protect the rim, have Harkless or Gordon help/team defense. We could have a well rounded team. Porzingis still has room to grow, at 19 he has no filled out yet. If we are lucky enough to get him to drop to 5 he needs to be taken. Nicholson and Frye will be expendable at that point.
While I think Winslow is great and can thrive on this team, we need offense in the worst way, especially 3pt scoring, as well as rim protection. Why not kill 2 birds with one stone?
