The NBA Draft is nearly upon us, so what better time to gauge the Orlando Pinstriped Post community's ranking of favorite prospects? That's right: the OPP community Draft board has returned.
Orlando Magic fans voted Monday for Texas center Myles Turner to round out the board's top 10.
Turner projects as a stretch five at the NBA level, with his combination of shot-blocking and outside shooting making him valuable as the league continues to emphasize paint protection and floor spacing. While he connected on only 27.4 percent of his treys at Texas, his 83.9 percent stroke at the foul line suggests it is within him to eventually convert threes at an acceptable rate. He also blocked 2.6 shots per game.
The Magic need three-point shooting and paint protection, but Turner would represent a huge reach for them at the five spot. But if they trade down, or otherwise acquire a mid- to late-lottery pick, the nearly seven-foot Turner may be an enticing prospect.
In the poll attached to this post, please vote for the NBA Draft prospect who should rank 11th on the Magic's Draft board.
Having reiterated the rules, let's vote! The poll closes at midnight Wednesday. We'll reveal the winner and keep the voting rolling daily as often as we can leading up to the Draft on June 25th.
