I'm writing this fanpost to see what your expectations are for next year. Are we "done" rebuilding through the draft or are we still sneak tanking the season?
What kind of moves do you expect Hennigan to make in FA? Are we going to go after big names or are we going to fill the roster with veterans nobody else want to have?
I personally believe that we cant take anymore youth after this draft. We need solid NBA players and getting them will be crucial. The magic, i believe, can take best player available in the draft and work with that.
I would like to see how the community view our offseason moves and make suggestions on draft, FA and trades and then post the rotation we would be playing... (and please somewhat realistic, so no Butler, K. Leonard and M. Gasol in FA ;) ) And last but not least, please predict where we will be in the standings
My offseason i would like to see is...
draft: 1st round: Porzingis (or WCS) 2nd round: Cedi Osman (the kid can be great, has Hezonja potential!)
FA: T. Thompson, G. Green, and retain Harris
Trades: Frye and future picks for Jennings (probably wont happen because they just traded for Ilyasova);
or trade Frye and Nicholson,B. Gordon, Ridnour to Brooklyn for D. Williams and future picks (gives them financial flexibility as they shed Williams contract. I believe Williams can still be great he just needs a change of scenery. Great veteran help and leader for our team. Williams doesnt like the spotlight and could blossom in overlooked Orlando! plus he could be a great trade chip packaged with Harris or Vooch)
rotation:
PG: Payton,D. Williams
SG: Oladipo, Fournier
SF: Harris, G. Green, Harkless
PF: Thompson, Porzingis, A. Gordon
C: Vooch, Dedmon
what i like about this lineup is that the frontcourt is interchangable. Thompson can play C, Porzingis could too...A Gordon can play PF and SF. G. Green could also play SG just like Fournier could play SF...kind of unpredictable
I predict us clinching the 6th or 7th seed in the playoffs...
So what are your expectations and season outlook
