The NBA Draft is nearly upon us, so what better time to gauge the Orlando Pinstriped Post community's ranking of favorite prospects? That's right: the OPP community Draft board has returned.
Orlando Magic fans voted Tuesday to place Kentucky center Willie Cauley-Stein at the fourth spot on the board.
In his junior season, Cauley-Stein earned Consensus All-American first-team honors for averaging 8.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game while shooting 57.2 percent from the floor. He's regarded as an outstanding defender and potential paint anchor.
Given how poorly the Magic defended the rim area in the 2014/15 campaign, Cauley-Stein fits one obvious need. However, his limited shooting range would make him a liability if paired with Nik Vucevic. Our Zach Oliver will have more on Cauley-Stein in a story later Wednesday.
Cauley-Stein won Tuesday's vote pretty handily, at 31 percent, while Justise Winslow and Kristaps Porziņģis duked it out for second place.
In the poll attached to this post, please vote for the NBA Draft prospect who should rank fifth on the Magic's Draft board.
Having reiterated the rules, let's vote! The poll closes at midnight Thursday. We'll reveal the winner and keep the voting rolling daily as often as we can leading up to the Draft on June 25th.
