The Orlando Magic reach the midpoint of a five-game homestand Wednesday when the East-leading Atlanta Hawks come to Amway Center.
Tipoff between Orlando and Atlanta is set for 7:00 PM Eastern. Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM will offer live coverage in the Orlando market.
Orlando's last time out: Orlado suffered an embarrassing loss to the Denver Nuggets, 119-100, on Sunday as Danilo Gallinari poured in a career-best 40 points. Victor Oladipo led Orlando with 21 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter against Denver's reserves. Nikola Vucevic added 20 points of his own, serving as the Magic's lone reliable contributor while the game was still somewhat competitive
Atlanta's last time out: The once-hot Hawks dropped their third straight game Sunday, 114-95, against the defending champion San Antonio Spurs. A slow start doomed the host Hawks, who trailed by a 26-13 margin after the first period and never mounted a serious run after that. Paul Millsap scored 22 points for Atlanta, but it was Kawhi Leonard who stole she show. The reigning Finals MVP tallied 20 points, 10 boards, seven assists, and four steals in a dominant performance.
The last meeting: In true Hawks fashion, Atlanta used a balanced effort to fend off the Magic, 95-88, back in February. Millsap scored a team-best 20 points, while Al Horford added 17 points and 13 rebounds, and Jeff Teague notched 17 points with seven assists. Orlando fought back from a 12-point deficit in the first quarter to take a halftime lead, only for Atlanta to dominate the third quarter and never look back. Against Horford, an All-Star, Vucevic more than held his own, with 21 points and 15 rebounds.
