The Orlando Magic announced Tuesday they've assigned Devyn Marble to the NBA D-League. He will join the Erie BayHawks for Wednesday's game against the Westchester Knicks and will presumably remain with them at least through Friday's contest against the Canton Charge. Erie hosts both of those games.
Marble has played four games for the BayHawks over the course of two assignments with them, averaging 17 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game on 38.1 percent shooting from the floor.
The Denver Nuggets made Marble the 56th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, and then traded his rights to Orlando. He briefly had a role in its rotation, making seven starts in 16 overall appearances, but has seen a lesser role since Aaron Gordon, a fellow rookie, returned from injury to man the small-forward spot.
As with all NBA D-League games, Wednesday's tilt between Erie and Westchester will be available for free on YouTube.
