Hi, I'm Bill DiFilippo, and I'm here to stay

Thanks for having me. I brought a six pack of semi-ok beer and a pizza.

Hey gang, I'm the new guy around these parts. My name's Bill DiFilippo, and I could not be more excited to be here.

A little background on me: I am originally from Parsippany, New Jersey, but I currently live in State College, Pa. I graduated from Penn State in 2014, and now I'm back in town working here full-time. It's a good time. Have you ever lived in a college town when you're not a student? I highly recommend it.

Professionally, I am a writer/editor. You can read my stuff over at Black Shoe Diaries, the SB Nation Penn State site, where I'm an assistant editor. I'm also a contributor at Uproxx Sports and an editorial assistant for SLAM Magazine. A quick story on SLAM: I was an intern there, and one day, I was told to cover an Erik Spoelstra press conference over the phone. Right as it was starting, Yeezus leaked, so my bosses got it and I had to listen to the presser while "New Slaves" blasted in the background. The lesson here is that working at SLAM is just as fun as you imagine.

Outside of that, I do Twitter things over at @bflip33, where Zach and I pretend to hate each other, but to be honest, he's a good dude. I'm working my way through the Assassin's Creed series, which is a vastly inferior series to the Batman: Arkham series, but whatever. I also chill out with my dog, a 16-year-old Jack Russell/beagle mix named Hope. She's great, here's a picture of her:

Terrific, ain't she?

Zach's bringing me on board to help out with things around these parts. I'll do just about anything needed around here, which is the exact opposite of by basketball game, as I play with a scorer's mentality and that's it. If any of y'all have ideas for things that you'd like to see around here, hit me up and I'll write it.

Let's get to it.
