After missing the previous two games with a concussion, Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo will return to the lineup against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Oladipo ran into teammate Dwayne Dedmon's shoulder as the two were going for a loose ball early in the Magic's 101-99 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers last Wednesday.
Oladipo, who had to go through the NBA's concussion protocol before being cleared to return to action, went through non-contact practice on Tuesday. During the team's Wednesday morning shootaround, coach Scott Skiles said the team had sent the protocols into the NBA, and were just waiting on official word if Oladipo would be cleared.
With Oladipo's return to the lineup, Channing Frye will slide back to his customary bench role.
On top of Oladipo returning, the Magic will also have the services of reserve big man Jason Smith, who missed the previous three games with a knee injury, and Evan Fournier, who missed practice time this week with an illness. C.J. Watson will once again be out with a calf injury.
