The hot hand may exist afterall!
Seems that the much loved (by some) Gilovich, Tversky, and Vallone paper "proving" that hot streaks didn't exist had a fundamental error in it. When correct their data shows it DOES exist. The paper never sat right with me (I used to work as a researcher and statistician) and though I never studied it enough myself to discern it's flaws, I have several time on this site warned against it's deification as "truth". Seems I can say "I told you so!"
