The Magic will be without the services of floor stretching big man Channing Frye for the remainder of their game against the Charlotte Hornets with a right elbow strain. Frye played nearly 13 minutes in the first half, missing both of his shot attempts, while grabbing one rebound.
In Frye's absence, the Magic could go small with Tobias Harris at the power forward spot, something they've done in the past and at times this season. In the loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night, the Magic went small with Devyn Marble playing the four, helping the Magic storm back and nearly steal one. Another option could be Andrew Nicholson, who has played sparingly the entire season thanks to the emergence of Kyle O`Quinn, along with Harris and Frye's ability to play the power forward position.
We will update Frye's status moving forward once we are given more information following the game.
