Magic at Grizzlies: Orlando seeks revenge against Memphis

A loss to Memphis opened the Magic's five-game losing skid. A victory Monday would settle the score and stop the proverbial bleeding.

The Orlando Magic look to prevent their losing skid from reaching six games Monday as they visit the Memphis Grizzlies.

Tipoff between Orlando and Memphis is set for 8:00 PM. Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM will offer live coverage in the Orlando market.

Orlando's last time out: Orlando squandered a nine-point lead in the fourth quarter Sunday against the Indiana Pacers, who entered the game having lost seven in a row. Rookie forward Damjan Rudež sank four three-pointers in the final period, scoring 16 of his 18 points to lead the Pacers' comeback. Nikola Vucevic scored 27 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while rookie forward Aaron Gordon tallied nine points and four boards in his first career start.

Memphis's last time out: The Grizzlies walloped the Philadelphia 76ers, 101-83, on Saturday behind a stellar performance from Zach Randolph. The burly power forward scored 17 points, snared 17 rebounds, and dished four assists against Philly's overmatched frontline. Jeff Green scored an efficient 18 points to aid the Grizz's cause.

The last meeting: Two Fridays ago, the Grizzlies imposed their will on the Magic, slowing the tempo to one more to Memphis' liking. Green scored a team-high 21 off the bench against Orlando, which had no good candidates to defend him, given Gordon's absence. Rookie point guard Elfrid Payton excelled, recording career-bests with 22 points and 12 assists in Orlando's loss.
