The Orlando Magic take to the road Wednesday as they visit Stan Van Gundy and the Detroit Pistons.
Tipoff between Orlando and Detroit is set for 7:30 PM. Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM will offer live coverage in the Orlando market.
Orlando's last time out: The Magic fell flat, and hard, on Sunday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, surrendering a franchise-worst 79 points in the first half of a 127-99 defeat. Victor Oladipo shot 7-of-18 for 23 points to lead the Magic, while Elfrid Payton scored 19 and dished eight assists. Kevin Durant, the reigning league MVP, needed only 28 minutes and 10 shot attempts to lead OKC with 21 points, 11 boards, and eight assists.
Detroit's last time out: The Pistons became the streaking, East-leading Atlanta Hawks' latest victim Monday, falling by a 93-82 final in the ATL. Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe, the Pistons' starters at the power positions, combined for 29 points and 38 rebounds, but Detroit shot just 35.4 percent from the floor and committed 19 turnovers in the loss.
The last meeting: Lightly regarded wing Jodie Meeks set a Magic opponent record by draining nine three-pointers against Orlando on December 30th as Detroit rolled to a 109-86 victory at Amway Center. The Pistons dominated thanks to Meeks and Drummond, who scored 17 points, grabbed 22 rebounds, and swatted three shots. Oladipo led the Magic with 16 points, but shot only 6-of-14 from the floor. Drummond's size and strength bothered Orlando center Nikola Vucevic, who managed only 10 points and five boards in 22 minutes.
