Behind a strong effort from second-year guard Victor Oladipo, the Orlando Magic opened their 2014 Orlando Pro Summer League campaign with an 83-77 win against the Philadelphia 76ers. Aaron Gordon, Devyn Marble, and Elfrid Payton--the Magic's three rookies--made their Orlando débuts in the contest as well. Philadelphia center Nerlens Noel, who missed the entire 2013/14 season due to a knee injury, logged his first NBA action in the contest as well, and talled an impressive 19 points, two rebounds, three assists, and four steals.

Oladipo finished with a Magic-best 18 points and six rebounds, along with three assists. Payton led the Magic with five assists, but he shot only 1-of-4 from the floor with four turnovers in 18 minutes. Gordon, functioning at small forward alongside Romero Osby at power forward, had seven points, five rebounds, an assist, and a block.

Marble, whose Draft rights the Magic acquired via trade with the Denver Nuggets, had the most impressive outing of any Orlando rookie. The Iowa product had 13 points and five rebounds in only 17 minutes and shot 5-of-7 from the floor. He backed up Kim English at shooting guard.

The Magic have Sunday off. They'll be back in action Monday against the Houston Rockets at 5 PM Eastern.
