For the second straight summer, Andrew Nicholson will represent his home country of Canada as part of its Men's National Team. Canada on Tuesday announced its roster for a series of 11 exhibition games, and it includes Nicholson, the Orlando Magic big man.
Nicholson, a native of Mississauga, Ontario, joins fellow NBA players Cory Joseph, Kelly Olynyk, and Robert Sacre on the Men's National Team.
"We are fortunate to have a talented pool of athletes to work with," said Steve Nash, Canada's general manager, in a statement. "We have depth in each position and are able to field a strong team with a mix of NBA players, veterans of the international game, and university players."
In his second Magic season, Nicholson averaged 5.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game on 42.9 percent shooting, logging 15.4 minutes per contest.
