The Orlando Magic stand among at least four teams to have "expressed interest" in signing Garrett Temple, reports Yahoo! Sports scribe Marc J. Spears.

Temple, 28, spent the last two seasons with the Washington Wizards, who remain interested in re-signing him, according to Spears. In 126 appearances for the Wiz, Temple averaged 3.2 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 14.2 minutes per game, shooting 39.1 percent from the floor and 29.4 percent on three-pointers.

Since making his NBA début in the 2009/10 season, Temple has played for six teams, not counting a stint with the Italian club Novipiù Casale Monferrato in the lockout-shortened 2011/12 campaign.

Temple will likely not command a salary above the league minimum. He could add experience, ballhandling, and defense to a Magic backcourt lacking in each of those facets since the team waived Jameer Nelson on Monday.
