The Orlando Magic will soon sign Luke Ridnour, reports Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel.
A veteran of 11 NBA seasons, Ridnour averaged five points and 2.9 assists in the 2013/14 campaign, which he split between the Milwaukee Bucks and Charlotte Bobcats. The Oregon product shot 38.5 percent from the floor and 34.3 percent on three-pointers.
Ridnour is considered a steady, pass-first point guard with the ability to play off the ball in some alignments. If signed, he figures to fill the third point guard role which Ronnie Price occupied in the 2013/14 season. Orlando waived Price earlier in July. Its only point guards under contract are second-year pro Victor Oladipo and the rookie Elfrid Payton.
