Magic vs. Nets: Resurgent Brooklyn visits

The Nets have gone 25-12 since they last played Orlando.

The Orlando Magic hit the middle game of a three-game homestand Wednesday when they take on the Brooklyn Nets at Amway Center.

Tipoff between Orlando and Brooklyn is set for 7:00 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM in Orlando. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 5:00 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.

Orlando's last time out: The Magic erased a 13-point deficit to knock off the Minnesota Timberwolves, 100-92, behind an 18-point effort from Arron Afflalo and a 14-point, 13-rebound outing from Kyle O'Quinn. Orlando triumphed despite the absence of starting center Nik Vučević, who missed his second straight game due to a sore Achilles'.

Brooklyn's last time out: The Nets eked out am 88-87 win over the Miami Heat on Tuesday to complete the sweep of the season-series against the two-time defending champions. Marcus Thornton sank a three-pointer with 1:41 remaining to give Brooklyn a two-pooint lead it wouldn't relinquish. Joe Johnson led the Nets with 19 points. Thornton scored 16 with six rebounds and four steals in reserve.

The last meeting: On January 21st, the Nets shot nearly 50 percent from the field as they dealt the Vučević-less Magic a 101-90 loss at Barclays Center. Brooklyn led by as much as 19 points in the victory. Andray Blatche led all scorers with 18 points off the Nets' bench. Orlando got team-bests in scoring (15) and in rebounding (eight) from O'Quinn.
